send-mails.de reliably delivers the email sent by your software, website or online shop — order confirmations, password links, notifications and newsletters. Sent via Amazon SES in Frankfurt, managed by PureHost.
Your application speaks plain SMTP. We take care of deliverability, authentication and availability.
Every message leaves through the Amazon SES sending infrastructure in the Frankfurt region (eu-central-1) — with the reputation and capacity of one of the largest email services.
We set up authentication for your sender domain together with you. Recipients recognise your email as genuine — the basis for landing in the inbox instead of the spam folder.
Submission only over encrypted connections on port 465 (TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS), with separate credentials per account. No encryption, no login.
Amazon SES reports undeliverable addresses and spam complaints back. We go through conspicuous addresses with you — keeping your list clean and your reputation good.
Two independent SMTP gateways at separate locations. If one fails, your application submits through the other.
Gateways at Hetzner in Falkenstein (Germany) and Helsinki (Finland), sending via Amazon SES in the AWS Frankfurt region (eu-central-1).
Your application submits via SMTP to one of our gateways. The gateway checks credentials and sender and hands the message straight to Amazon SES. Only once SES has accepted it does the gateway confirm receipt to your application — no email is stored on the gateways themselves.
No new library, no changes to your application. You simply enter different SMTP credentials.
We set up your account and, together with you, add the DNS records for DKIM, SPF and DMARC for your sender domain.
You enter server, port and credentials in your software, shop or CMS — just like with any other mail server.
From now on your email goes out via Amazon SES. We keep an eye on bounces and complaints for you.
send-mails.de is currently available exclusively to existing PureHost customers. We are happy to prepare a quote that fits your sending volume.
Request a quote →You conclude a data processing agreement (DPA) with PureHost. Email is sent via Amazon SES in the AWS Frankfurt region (eu-central-1); the SMTP gateways are hosted by Hetzner in Falkenstein and Helsinki. Amazon Web Services is engaged as a sub-processor on the basis of the AWS Data Processing Addendum including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Whether this is sufficient for your specific use is for you or your data protection officer to assess; we are happy to provide the documents.
AWS is a US company. Even though processing takes place in the Frankfurt data centre, AWS is in principle subject to US law, including the CLOUD Act. How far US authorities can use it to access data in the EU has not been conclusively settled legally. We address this openly rather than deny it. If this rules the service out for you, we are glad to advise you on alternatives.
Pricing is currently available on request only. The service is currently available exclusively to existing PureHost customers; we will prepare a quote that fits your sending volume.
Amazon SES is inexpensive, but setting it up takes effort: domain verification, leaving the sandbox, sending limits, processing bounces and complaints, and maintaining DNS records. With send-mails.de, PureHost does this work for you. You get a standard SMTP login and a personal contact.
When your account is activated we give you the DNS records for your sender domain: DKIM keys, the SPF include and a DMARC record. If your domain is hosted with PureHost, we add them for you. Sending from a domain is only possible once it has been verified.
Transactional email such as order confirmations, invoices, password links and notifications is the main purpose. Newsletters are possible if recipients have explicitly consented (double opt-in) and every message contains an unsubscribe option. Purchased or rented address lists are not allowed.
Amazon SES reports undeliverable addresses and spam complaints back. We evaluate them and contact you if addresses or rates become conspicuous. You should remove permanently undeliverable addresses from your list so that your domain's reputation stays good.
Whether you currently use SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES directly or your own mail server: once activated, you add the DNS records for your domain and replace server, port and credentials in your application. Your code does not change as long as your application speaks SMTP.
